In recent years David Holt has turned to writing to complement his acting and voice-over work.

In the Name of the Wee Man

A biographical romp through the life of long forgotten Scottish comic Tommy Lorne. A Half hour play for BBC Radio 4 and part of the Stanley Baxter Playhouse series.

Cold Call

A thirty minute comedy play for BBC Radio 4 - one episode of the series "Stanley Baxter Playhouse". Starring Stanley as Gordon McKenzie, also featuring Pam Ferris, Sophie Thompson and Steven Critchlow. Broadcast June 2006.

Tales From The Tower:

Four half-hour comedy plays for BBC Radio 4. Set in the popular Lancashire UK seaside resort of Blackpool. David also plays all the characters in this innovative solo project. Broadcast summer 2001.

Proof Of The Pudding:

Forty five minute comedy-drama afternoon play for BBC Radio 4. Set in the jolly Lancashire UK seaside town of Lytham. Starring David Bradley and Elizabeth Spriggs. Broadcast Spring 2003.

Medium Rare:

A thirty minute comedy play for BBC Radio 4 – one episode of the series "Stanley Baxter And Friends". Set in Stanley’s native Glasgow and starring Stanley in two of the main roles. Broadcast January 2003.

Beyond The Gravy:

Four x thirty minute comedy-drama series for BBC Radio 4. Based upon the play "Proof Of The Pudding" and featuring the same cast. Broadcast in the autumn of 2004.
